Google is expected to launch Chrome Mobile during the big Android 4.0 launch event, next week. Everyone is asking, why has it taken so long? Chrome currently has over 200 million users, and Android has hit 190 million according to Google’s Mr.Page during the recent quarterly earnings call. While Microsoft’s Internet Explorer still holds over 40% of the market share, Firefox claims 26% and Chrome has climbed to third at 24%. Mozilla plans to drop an update as well, and both will bring several changes to improve speed, security and hug-ability. Chrome’s big update will include “pipelining” support, which sucks the internet into your window at heart-exploding speed. Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich will likely include Chrome as the stock browser. Chrome adds more refinements to content options and profile settings.
